Contemporary Lighting: The Style That Keeps Moving
Contemporary is not a fixed style the way Scandinavian or industrial are: it is whatever is being drawn now. A contemporary fixture therefore borrows widely — the restraint of minimalism, natural materials, sculptural volumes — without locking itself into one vocabulary. It is the broadest selection in the catalog and the easiest to mix.
Three traits still recur. Deliberate shapes, often asymmetric or built from several modules. Mixed materials within a single fixture: glass and brass, metal and fabric, ceramic and wood. And as much attention paid to the object switched off as switched on, which explains the worked silhouettes.
